In the last few sessions we've been honing the songs will be the album (give or take a couple): What The Beat Is For, Going Home, We Are The Kings, Sunset, Face Your Fun, Baja, The Longest Frontier, Don't Censored With The Money, Blow It, State Of The Union, and Saturday Night.
During this exploration of what this record is going to be, we've talked alot about 80's bands that did it right. Questions such as "What would A Flock Of Seagulls do in this song?" have been raised, and we think that's a good thing. "How could this song be more like '11 O'Clock Tick Tock'?" is not a bad question to ask, as we see it.
This record is going to be pretty upbeat in the sense that the songs are pretty fast. But lyrically and thematically it might be the darkest LF album yet. And we wholeheartedly think that it will be the best one by far. Every band has albums that, whether they admit it or not, are not the complete albums they wanted to make. This album is one that everyone is really excited about, and each track is something we think will be something everyone will find a connection to. We'll see what happens...
