setting the stage

for the last couple of sessions, we've abandoned our downtown rehearsal spot for the more comfy confines of a business park in the o.c.

the reason is, we've started working at the northern records offices to begin the initial stages of making the album. we're mapping the songs, recording scratch tracks, and setting the stage for a proper recording.

of course, the actual recording studio that northern is building will not be completed in time for us to use, but that won't be a problem. we've made records in rehearsal studios, management offices, bedrooms, and weight rooms, so this one doesn't seem to be a big challenge.

i know i've said this already, but the way that everyone is talking about this album, it seems like we're making what we think might be the best lassie foundation album yet--if not the best album any of us have ever made, period. there are hot licks, hot hits, and some big beats that will hopefully get some people shakin'.

we better knock knock knock on wood.
