Hi, here is what is on the table:
August 6th a very special show.
August 12th Silverlake Lounge, Silverlake, CA
August 16th Detroit, Costa Mesa, CA – with Dick Swift and his band of freedom fighters. (thanks dick)
We are in the middle of mixing Face Your Fun, at least that is what Doc tells us. Hopefully at the end of the week we will start on the final mixes.
While working on Face Your Fun we have been recording video of the whole process. So expect a DVD to follow up Face Your Fun, which will include the making of said record as well as other live footage – possibly including the infamous 20-minute version of Walking Spinning Backing Free. In addition, to the DVD, there will be an additional cd of audio tracks of un-released material as well as some live cuts. They will be packaged together - no title as of yet.
Thanks for your patience.

We've finished tracking, and now The Doc will do his magic on the tracks to make it sound like we're a real tight band. By the end of next week we should be ready to mix.
Happy Tsugawa-Banta did her thing on the vibraphone, and those parts sound AMAZING. Big ups also to Richard Swift Onasis for laying down some great keyboard parts. The band, along with Andy, put some other keys/pads/strings on there, as well.
It's weird how this record has transformed from beginning to end. Of course, the Final Battle of mixing it will be the ultimate challenge: Where do the keyboards sit in the mix? How loud does that electronic slap need to be? Is the gang vocal too Cars-ish? What would Paul Reynolds think of that guitar solo? (he was the guitarist for A Flock of Seagulls, if you're playing at home)
Decisions, decisions....
