A HUGE "thank you!" to everyone who came out to the Texas show! You guys were amazing.
It was a fantastic show. The band was really excited to play (particularly because we'd gotten bored at the gun shop and Luby's cafeteria), and it was fun to talk to everyone who came from far and away to see the show. Florida, Oklahoma, Missouri, Amarillo (which is far enough away to be in another state), and Houston were just a few of the distant locales represented.
Thanks to Starflyer and Kissing Cousins for letting us use their gear.
Next up is the Foundation Finale at Silver Lake Lounge. I'm glad we did a second LA show, so that some of the folks who couldn't make the last one can make it Monday. It should be a packed house, and alot of fun!
For just the second time in six years, the band is leaving our beloved California to travel to Texas. Our last trip was quite memorable, from a packed-house, high-energy Deep Ellum show at Trees to the bizarre antics that led to someone giving us the infamous "coke map". The only difference this time is we're bringing a larger arsenal of hits.
Everyone's really excited for this weekend. We fly to DFW tomorrow and perform Saturday night.
"Hello, Lubbock! Hello!"
